The Frontiers of Brain Tumour Research in Trieste Next

We are pleased to present you the video of the event which was held yesterday, Saturday 23 September 2023, as part of the Trieste Next initiative, the scientific research festival. This event entitled “The Frontiers of Research in the Treatment of Brain Tumors” aimed to raise public awareness of the problems related to brain tumors and research in this area.

We all know how important it is to highlight the need for greater funding for research, in order to accelerate access to more effective therapies and, hopefully soon, a definitive cure. It is with this awareness that we collaborated with Elettra Sincrotrone Trieste to organize this event.

During the round table, key experts in the field of brain tumor research spoke, including researchers, doctors and professionals in the sector. Elena Longo, SYRMEP Elettra Sincrotrone Trieste light line researcher, Daniela Cesselli, professor of Pathological Anatomy at the University of Udine, Marco Vindigni, medical director of the Neurosurgery Operating Unit ASUFC Udine and Roberto Pugliese, president of Glioblastoma.IT ODV, shared their knowledge and experiences regarding brain tumor research and treatment. To entertain and involve the public, we had the pleasure of hosting the comedy duo I PAPU, composed of Andrea Appi and Ramiro Besa.
