The Scientific Committee of Glioblastoma.IT ODV

Good morning everyone,
we are pleased to announce the formation of the scientific committee of the voluntary organization Glioblastoma.it ODV.

As most of you know, Glioblastoma.IT ODV is aimed at patients and caregivers with an eye on the international research landscape and aims to be a support in the short and medium term by providing information on specialised centers for the treatment of glioblastoma and putting patients and caregivers in contact with the best professionals and experts of this disease. The funds raised up to now and that we will collect in the future, thanks to the donations of those who believe in our work, will be destined to support the care of patients interested in undergoing experimental treatments and second-line therapies.
Therefore, the presence and role of a scientific committee that acts as an advisory body, that validates the effectiveness of the services we provide and that we would like to activate, such as the Glioblastoma Navigator system in development, and that identifies patients suitable to access experimental treatments becomes fundamental.
We are honored to be able to communicate the names of the five professionals who have trusted us and have offered us their availability to be part of this scientific committee.

  • Dr. Morena Fasano – Oncologist, Medical Manager at the Polyclinic of Naples.
  • Dr. Alberto Gramaglia – Radiotherapist, Director of the radiotherapy and oncological hyperthermia department of the Polyclinic of Monza.
  • Dr. Giuseppe Lombardi – Oncologist, Medical Manager of the Oncology Unit of the Istituto Oncologico Veneto and Coordinator of the multidisciplinary neuro-oncology group of Padua.
  • Prof. Miran Skrap – Neurosurgeon, Director of the Department of Neuroscience of the Azienda sanitaria Universitaria of Friuli Centrale in Udine.
  • Dr. Vincenzo Tortora – Oncologist, Medical Director at the ASL of Vercelli, Piemonte.

We wish to thank them from the bottom of our hearts and with their support we hope to become more and more a valid support for patients and caregivers in the fight against glioblastoma.
